Author, historian. Born in 1899 in Brocton, Illinois. Worked as a wire editor and foreign correspondent for the Associated Press and on the editorial staff of the Dallas "Morning News" for over 25 years. His books include "Sam Ross," "The Great Buffalo Hunt, " and "Rawhide Texas" and many articles for magazines, such as "American Heritage, " "American Mercury, " and "Reader's Digest."
